INSTRUCTIONS
The program is very easy to use and doesn't really need any instructions.
However, here are the basics to how the program works to get you started.
Once the program loads, the current time and date will be displayed in the
Time/Date Window. If you would like to remove the full window from the
desktop, you may minimize it using the minimize button. The time will
be displayed under the program icon. If you would like the program to
start in the minimized mode, just select the PROPERTIES item from the
PROGRAM MANAGER in Windows and click on the RUN MINIMIZED check box.
The Time Is... has built in Alarm and Chime functions. To access the
Preferences screen, double-click on the time, date, or anywhere within the
Time/Date Window (inside the grey 3D frame) with your mouse. Once loaded,
you may choose to turn the Alarm or Chime On or Off, set the Alarm Time,
change the .WAV files associated with the Alarm or Chime, or change what
information is spoken by The Time Is... The time located in the lower left
hand corner is the Alarm Time setting, and can be set using the "+" or
"-" buttons.
Turing the Alarm On will force The Time Is... to inform you once the time
reaches the Alarm Time. At the proper time, the selected .WAV sound file
will play along with a dialog informing you that the Alarm has gone off.
Turing the Chime On forces The Time Is... to play the specified .WAV sound
file on the hour. For example, if it's 4:00pm, The Time Is... will play
the specified .WAV sound file 4 times. You may request that the time is
spoken every hour instead of "chimed" by selecting "Say It" instead of
"Play It" in the Chime Style box.
You may select what information is spoken using the "Say What" box. You
can have The Time Is... say only the time, only the date, or both. This
applies to the Chime Style as well as the say time icon (the mouth) on the
main screen.
You may use any standard Windows 3.1 .WAV file as the Alarm or Chime Wave
files. However, these .WAV files must be placed in the same directory as
THETIMEE.EXE.
This should cover it. If you have any questions, please feel free to write
to us or contact us through CompuServe at 72607,375.
We hope you enjoy the program and find it useful!
